Dr. Sagar started his medical career from Wardha in 2003 and had a successful undergraduate career with distinctions in several subjects. He joined as a resident doctor at Holy Spirit Hospital, Mumbai in the department of Orthopaedics and finished his C.P.S. D-ortho from the same institution and R.M.R.C. Nashik in 2011. After which he did M.S. Orthopaedics from Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College, Nashik; finishing with distinction and 2nd rank in M.U.H.S. Nashik after missing the ‘Gold Medal’ by just a mark. He got the fellowship in Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty Surgery under Dr. Sachin Tapasvi sir who trained me in Basic and Advanced surgeries of the Knee, Shoulder and Hip. He subsequently finished my D.N.B. Orthopaedics and got registered as Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences, Delhi. He was later selected for the prestigious 1 year Australian Orthopaedic Association Fellowship in Shoulder, Elbow, Knee arthroscopy and arthroplasty surgery in Sydney. His mentor Dr. Jonathan Herald trained him in Primary, Complex and revision surgeries of the Shoulder, Knee and elbow and he had an opportunity to work as an assistant physician in Sports for Australian professional athletes and sports personnel. He further did his training in Complex and revision Knee surgeries under supervision of Prof. Robert LaPrade at The Steadman Clinic, Colorado, U.S.A. which is the official hospital for the U.S. Olympics Association and hence he could learn the best of the surgical and rehabilitation techniques. He has published several scientific papers in State, National and International Journals and has even authored a book chapter on Management of Patello-femoral pathologies. Teaching has been his passion and he is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics, Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College, Nashik.
